The Institute of Applied Optics and Biophotonics is integrated within the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy of the University and focuses on 3D object measurement and wave-optical measurement technologies. Research at the Institute concentrates on structured illumination techniques with coherent and incoherent light sources, microscopy, digital holography and biophotonic applications.
