The Center of Medical Optics and Photonics is a common profile centre of the faculties of Physics and Astronomy, Chemical and Earth Sciences and Medicine at Friedrich Schiller University. The CeMOP brings about 40 optical and photonic scientists in the field of biomedicine together, fostering the networking activities on biophotonics research at the Faculties via jointly raising funds and cross-faculty teaching. Besides, participating scientists cooperate with other research institutions in the field of optics and photonics and the local optical and biomedical industry.
